She was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Ministry/Movie as well as Best Actress nominations at the Emmy Awards and for the Golden Globes. Tolman's guest role in The Mindy Project, playing romance novelist Abby Berman for two episodes, was announced the same. The actress was a guest on NBC's Good Girls. She played Alma Filcott, in the second series of Why Women Kill. Natalie Green played the role of Alma Filcott on her role in the Facts of Life segment of Live In front of a Studio Audience's 3rd season.
